Expect daily outdoor activity ranging from moderate hikes of 3–6 hours to guided kayaking sessions along fjords and rivers. Trails vary from dense rainforest paths to cliffside ridges with panoramic views, requiring good balance and stamina. Evenings are spent in eco-lodges or campgrounds, often under clear night skies where stars seem endless. Wildlife encounters are frequent, with opportunities to spot dolphins, seals, and native birds, as well as learning about local conservation projects. Day 1 – Arrival in Queenstown
Arrive in Queenstown and transfer to your hotel. Evening briefing with guides and optional exploration of the town.
Day 2 – Queenstown to Te Anau & Fiordland National Park
Drive through scenic landscapes to Te Anau, gateway to Fiordland. Short acclimatization hike and introduction to local flora and fauna. Overnight in Te Anau lodge.
Day 3 – Kepler Track Hike
Hike a section of the renowned Kepler Track through beech forests, alpine ridges, and open valleys. Picnic lunch along the trail. Return to lodge in Te Anau.
Day 4 – Doubtful Sound Kayak Expedition
Full-day guided kayaking tour in Doubtful Sound. Paddle past waterfalls, cliffs, and wildlife-rich waters. Optional short hikes along the fjord. Overnight at nearby lodge.
Day 5 – Milford Track Hike
Trek through the lower Milford Track, passing rivers, mossy rainforests, and scenic viewpoints. Learn about Maori legends and local conservation. Overnight in eco-lodge or cabin.
Day 6 – Glacier Valley Exploration
Guided hike through glacial valleys with dramatic rock formations and streams. Optional photography stops and bird-watching sessions. Evening relaxation by the fjord.
Day 7 – Return to Queenstown & Departure
